At Beyond Bar, we have followed the engineering data and promote the state-of-the-art "diamond" shaped plate dowels for the free and easy 180 degree movement of sectional concrete movement; for both construction joints (perimeter forms) and internal saw cut joints.   Plate Dowels are relevant; 500,000 linear feet of dowel manufactured each day.  Plate Dowels are currently in the Building Code; ACI 360R-10 - 6.2 Load Transfer Mechanisms; figure 6.12.
